Robert Knepper joins R.I.P.D. cast [21st September 2011 19:25:36]

Is it the late Robert Knepper? Well, filming has already begun on the supernatural comic-book movie R. I. P. D. and word has just come through that he'll be playing a ghost in the film.

So while we're not writing his obituary just yet, the description still fits.

Knepper will play a "deado" - as they're known in the Dark Horse comic - in the production that started last week in Boston.

It's very possible he'll be one of the characters being hunted by Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges' characters from the Rest In Peace Department.

Knepper might be best known for his role in the TV series Prison Break, but he's also appeared in Hitman, Transporter 3 and The Day the Earth Stood Still. Source: www.totalfilm.com

Marisa Miller joins R.I.P.D. [26th August 2011 02:15:48]

Jeff Bridges looks like an underwear model? Apparently so, as Victoria's Secret beauty Marisa Miller has been cast as Bridges alter-ego in R.I.P.D.

Bridges' character works in the Rest In Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle other spirits not yet ready to depart this world.

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Miller will play Bridges' avatar, which humans see when he is in his earthly form. Miller is making her big screen debut in the role, having already appeared in TV episodes of Entourage, Gary Unmarried and How I Met Your Mother.

Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak and Mary-Louise Parker are already confirmed for the supernatural action thriller, which is directed by Robert Schwentke and based on the Dark Horse Comics miniseries. Source: www.totalfilm.com
