Mini Biography:

Nina V. Kerova's best-known American work is the Cult classic picture Liquid Sky, which she produced and wrote together the director, Slava Tsukerman. The fact that Liquid Sky, produced on a budget of $500,000, should to a great extent be credited to the executive abilities, experience and hard work of Ms. Kerova. She handled the production of the film practically single handedly with the smallest production crew in history. Kerova was born in Novosibirsk, a city with a dense population of over two million people, located in Siberia, Russia. She acted on stage from the age of six. Between the ages of sixteen and nineteen, Ms. Kerova worked for the Novosibirsk TV station - first as a news writer, then as a assistant director and finally as a director/ writer of documentaries. At the same time she also acted in various TV dramas and did voice-overs.

Kerova's long experience in the film industry and theatre covers a wide rage from acting, writing, to directing, production designing, and set designing, casting and producing. Ms. Kerova international experience includes work for Russian, Israeli, and Norwegian television, theatre and film productions in Russia and America, as well as radio journalism and commercials. At the prestigious VGIK - The soviet National Film Institute, Kerova studied screen writing and cinema criticism. She attended the Moscow Institute of Culture, where she studied theatre directing. Her education also includes several years of Method acting School, at the Novosibirsk Drama Theatre "red Torch", bad nine years of Music School as a classical pianist.

Movie Synopsis:

Top astrophysicist Sasha Greenberg has spent the past 17 years working in the United States. An invitation to speak at a Congress on Cosmology in his native Moscow brings him home for the first time to confront colleagues, and unanswered personal questions. As Russia undergoes perestroika, public and private lives are radically re-assessed and Sasha sees the social and sexual upheavals as a crisis of civilization, and a reflection of his own obsessive studies into the nature of the Universe itself.
