Andrew Knott was born on the 22nd of November 1979 in Salford, Manchester. He started acting at a young age appearing in various British TV and radio programs. Throughout his younger years he trained at The Oldham Theater Workshop. His first big screen appearance was in The Secret Garden (1993) starring opposite Maggie Smith. Another Warner Brothers big screen adaptation was his next venture starring in Black Beauty (1994). A return to the theater in 2004 saw Andrew appear in "The History Boys". The National Theater production later toured the world giving Andrew his first appearance on Broadway. Alan Bennett has also adapted his hit play for the big screen The History Boys (2006), directed by the National's own Nicholas Hytner.

Derek is a dreamer and a failure. Determined to show the world he can succeed in 1984 he forms an American Football team in a country dominated by Soccer, Rugby and Cricket. Will his desire to succeed lead to him loosing everything.
