Carla gets a call from the small town where she grew up in the South of Spain. Her father, who she hasn't spoken with in many years, is very ill. She refuses to face it and decides, against everyone's opinion, to take him to Barcelona, where she is convinced they'll be able to save him. 2015. Raquel Crespo is woman from Bilbao (Basque Country, north to Spain) desperate to recover his little daughter Alba. Having to pay a bribery of 35,000 EUR (42,000 $) to a corrupt social services who works in child custody, Raquel goes to a bank named Nortcaja in the neighborhood of Santutxu to talk with the bank manager Elías for obtaining the money, offering her parents' house as endorsement in exchange for opening an bank account and finally get the 35,000 EUR loan. Accepting the terms, Elías talks with the bank teller Cristina to make the operation but seconds before to end it, two felonious named Jonan and Lola appear in the bank to make a robbery. 2019, City of Valencia (Valencia; East to Spain). At her 45-years, Rosa is a woman at the edge of the abyss: besides her work as costume designer for movies, she as a full-time second work helping to her dysfunctional family: her older brother Armando is an English teacher which marriage with Marga is close to the divorce, with two children that ignore him openly; her sister Violeta works as interpreter in conferences who feels displaced by her young partners, fearing to be fired by it; her daughter Lidia lives in Manchester with her absent-husband Johnny caring their baby twins; her father Antonio, an aging widow who still misses his wife two years after her death, tells Rosa his intention to move with her unable to live alone in his own house; and as if it wasn't enough, her boyfriend Rafa is a man with too much work unable to listen Rosa when she talks him. Overwhelmed by the situation, Rosa travels her natal town Benicassim to visit the former tailor shop of her mother.
